We live in a world of rapid Digitalisation. This phenomenon dictates
almost every aspect of our lives. Thirty-four per cent of the Indian population
uses digital platforms and has the second highest number of users in the world
and yet there are rural regions of India where the technology hasn’t reached
just yet. To make our country progress there is a need to create digital
awareness at all levels.
To understand what the key difficulties and issues in the area of
Digitalization of rural areas Association for Parivartan of Nation are
organized Colloquium on “Digital Education at Rural Areas: Key Issues,
Challenges and Opportunities” on 15th January 2019.

The event took place at Active Mind Institute, Banha, Hazaribagh and
was attended by teachers and students of different villages around the area.
The event majorly focused on, Introduction of Digital Education System
by Br. Ehtesham- Student from Birla Institute of Technology wherein he focused
on how there is a need to adopt different education models in rural areas which
are technologically driven and leads to the holistic development of students.
To further extend the event we had a Panel discussion which was
coordinated by Hasan Al Banna, President of Association for Parivartan of
Nation and Md Raihan, Noble School for education and development, Raonaque
Afroz, Sujit Kumar, Abhishek Kumar Singh and Md Faizan as speakers. The panel
discussion leads to a discussion on the key issues which comes in the way of
implementation and also discussed on how changing times has to be inclusive and
ho digital age has to be incorporated into our education system especially at
the rural areas.
Impact created:
- The event was a success as it enriched
everyone at the event with some of the most important elements regarding
Digital education system.
- Different stakeholders such as teachers,
students and speakers presented different perspectives to the discussion.
- Extensive discussion on current situations and
key problems in the implementation of the digital education system such as lack
of digital literacy.
- Evaluation of different issues and dialogue on
prospective solutions.
