COVID-19 has affected the lives of millions, not just medically, but economically as well. Over 122 million people lost jobs in India due to COVID-19, and more than 3/4ths of them were small traders and wage-labourers, due to restricted movements and confined measures. India saw a massive fall in the employment rate and not only small traders were affected, but salaried people lost their jobs too. It is not just the millions of people of lost their jobs, but the families of millions who lost their livelihood. However, despite the crisis, some individuals chose to not give up and start small-scale businesses such as fast-food stalls and restaurants to sustain their family’s basic needs. But, opening a business requires funding for its setup and pieces of equipment.
